With 613 laws given by God, it can seem like we traded one taskmaster (Pharoah) for another. But just like a mom, God has placed these instructions for our benefit. To help us see God’s heart in relation to His commands, we’ll look at the time in between leaving tyrannical Pharoah and receiving God’s Torah (or law).

The park was named in March 2008 after Brian Tephford, a Broward Sheriff’s Office Deputy who was killed in the line of duty on November 12, 2006, while conducting a traffic stop in Tamarac.

The people will go out and gather a day’s portion every day, so that I can test [NASAH] them to find out whether they will walk according to My Torah [INSTRUCTION] or not. 5 So on the sixth day, when they prepare what they bring in, it will be twice as much as they gather day by day.” 6 So Moses and Aaron said to all Bnei-Yisrael, “In the evening you will know that ADONAI has brought you out from the land of Egypt, 7 and in the morning, then you will see the glory of ADONAI. For He heard your complaining against Him. What are we? You complain against us?”
